What is the difference between organic and non-organic?

The term ‘organic’ generally speaking means crops are grown without the use of synthetic chemicals, synthetic fertilisers or GMOs.

Organic can be a better choice for the environment. An ongoing study at the Rodale Institute has found organic farming builds up the soil, uses less energy and produces lower levels of greenhouse gases. 

 

How is VIKA Organic’s products high quality?

We did a lot of research into our suppliers to ensure we were providing our consumers with the highest quality organic ingredients. What you see is what you get as we want to build customer loyalty without green washing.

Many of our customers return because they love the quality, organic fragrance and results. 

 

Are your products tested on animals?

We are a cruelty free company with vegan options. Our products are not tested on animals.

 

Do VIKA Organic’s products contain parabans?

No, our products do not contain parabens.

 

How should I store my essential oils?

Store them below 30 degrees Celsius and away from direct sunlight as the heat can deteriorate the quality of the essential oil.

 

Why are VIKA Organic products stored in amber glass?

All of our essential oils are bottles in amber glass to avoid direct sunlight to help avoid deterioration of the essential oil quality.  We still encourage you to store the bottles in a dry, cool and dark space.

 

How long will an essential oil bottle last in my diffuser?

Please see below diagram to show the approximant longevity of the essential oil bottles.

 

What size essential oil bottles do you have?

We have 5ml, 10ml and 15ml bottles.

 

Are your products Australian?

Our products are both sourced and handmade in Australia.

 

Are essential oils safe for pets?

Essential oils can be toxic for pets. Pets will differ with their sensitivity around essential oils so please diffuse with caution. Watch out for changes in their behaviour i.e. leaving the room and never leave bottles open or in reach of animals.

Please seek advice from your veterinarian on which oils are safe to diffuse. If your pet ingests any oils accidentally, go to the veterinarian immediately.

  

Are essential oils safe for children?

It is not recommended to use essential oils before the age of 6 months. Diffuse oils rather than use topically for children 3-6mths.

Our Vika Organic Hydrosols are an extremely safe and effective option.

Introduce oils slowly one at a time - you can test sensitivity by doing this.

Keep essential oils in a place where young children cannot reach them, and never let them handle essential oils bottles. Seek immediate medical attention if your child happens to ingest essential oils.
